JOHNSTOWN POLICE K9 SEMINAR September 26th- September30th, 2011
Seminar will offer advanced training in patrol and detection techniques by T3 Gear, retired Navy Seal operators and dog handlers. Each K9 team will be offered problem-solving skills, maintenance, and training plans based on the specific needs and goals of the team. All K9 teams and organizations are welcome to attend.
Navy Seals will focus on advanced tactical training with the utilization of your K9. Emphasis will be placed on integrating K9 with SWAT. Field training will be hands on and high tempo scenario based.
The Johnstown Police K9 Division is affiliated with the Eastern Police Canine Association (EPCA) The (EPCA) will have certified instructors on hand to assist in the training. The EPCA will also hold a certification trial on Friday, September 30th, 2011. *You must be an EPCA member to attempt certification. Membership dues are $25.00 year. *The cost to certify your K9 is $25.00 per certification attempted. * The cost of membership and certifications are payable to the EPCA.
